Lawson transitioned to single-seater racing in 2015, competing in the Formula First Manfeild Winter Series and the New Zealand Formula First Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2016, Lawson dominated the New Zealand F1600 Championship Series, claiming 14 out of 15 victories and becoming the youngest champion in the series&#8217; history. He then progressed to the Australian F4 Championship in 2017, finishing second in his rookie season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rise-Through-the-Ranks\"><\/span>Rise Through the Ranks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawson continued his upward trajectory in 2018, competing in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. He secured three wins and three pole positions, ultimately finishing runner-up to Lirim Zendeli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following year, Lawson joined M2 Competition for the Toyota Racing Series, where he claimed five wins and clinched the championship title after a season-long battle with fellow Kiwi Marcus Armstrong. He also competed in the Euroformula Open Championship, finishing second overall and winning the rookie title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Road-to-Formula-1\"><\/span>Road to Formula 1<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, Lawson made his FIA Formula 3 Championship debut with Hitech Grand Prix. He showcased his skill and determination, securing three wins and six podiums en route to a fifth-place finish in the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawson graduated to the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2021, once again racing for Hitech Grand Prix. Despite facing challenges, he managed to secure a victory and several podium finishes, ultimately placing ninth in the standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside his Formula 2 commitments, Lawson also competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) in 2021 for Red Bull AF Corse.
